Polishing the game
Game ChangesCollect enough gold to open a door to the next wagon, until you reach the end of the train, where a big treasure chest awaits! The team to first reach that chest wins the heist. But shooting the enemy and their train isn’t the only way to earn gold. Each team now also temporarily stocks their riches in a vault. Hit the vault to make their gold fall out and grab it!
A change of sceneryThe heist is now taking place in a desert, which means a lot of sand to get in between your toes. As well as cacti, rocks, pebbles and other plants. The tracks laid throughout this desolate land have also been adjusted to support the train’s massive weight.
A new station!This new environment also means that our train passes through a different kind of station now. This one has nicer floors and walls, because they care about passenger comfort. But that’s not all, it also comes with ticket booths to fairly get aboard the train. And some benches for you to rest while you wait for it.
Carrying CargoWere the wagons feeling a big empty? No more! As the passenger wagon has been fitted with a nice bar and some cozy lights for its passengers. The storage wagon on the other hand has been stocked with some actual goods. Crates, barrels and even some luggage. The indestructible titanium beams on both wagons have been replaced with a more destructible steel beams, as the funds for train improvements kept on being stolen. As mentioned above, the train chef aims to fix this pick-pocket issue with vaults.
Player Feedback improvementsYour actions are now supported by pop-ups that magically appear above your head! These strange floating things try to tell you when you pick up some health, ammo or money. As well as show you which weapon you are currently grabbing for as well as when you run out of ammunition. Your train robbing cowboy is no longer immortal and now bleeds as well when he is getting hit.
In addition to this magic, the gods themselves now also let loose some sounds from the heavens. There are sounds for when you pick something up from the floor or open a door. As well as when you hit a wall or even someone else. The train chef felt a bit inferior because of this and will now blow his whistle when the train leaves the station, or a passing train leaves your train.
User InterfaceThe UI has been improved for your overall enjoyment. It now shows which doors you have already opened and how much they cost. Importantly, how much gold you currently have to do so too! It also keeps track of which gun you are currently laying waste to your enemies with as well as how much ammo you have left.
Bugfixes:
-The dynamite gun now shoots actual dynamite instead of normal bullets.
